So this summer has been very eventful.Friends tried to collect money for me to fulfill my dream of running a half in Long Island,NY.After some time I had to realize that it was not going to be enough before the deadline and called it quits.
I did a 5 k race with my family in support of Spina Bifida and 5 days after that I ran my first ever 10 k race.My 5 k race was a "fun run" and I finished in just over 38 min and the 10 k race I finished in 1:22.I will be running one more 5 k race on October 2nd in support of Aids and I am the team captain for the 5 k run/walk on October 3rd.This one is in support of "save the tatas"CIBC Run for the Cure.I am still running just not as much. This winter I am planning on working on speed and endurance. My running will be speed intervals, hills and tempo runs on the dreaded treadmill. My training is coming along great,I am up to 7 perfect push ups.
On the "DIET" front I am not doing the greatest with loss on the scale, however I am having many NSV(nonscale victories).I am in a size 14 pants and a 12-14 top.I look slimmer and feel so much better.I am currently doing a 30 day Cleanse Smart.I am noticing a difference in my bloated belly and my skin.I am back on track with my eating,I figured to succeed in this I need to allow myself in moderation some "junkfood" every day.My last weigh I lost 1.6 lbs.Kids go back to school tomorrow.Kevin is going to Grade 11 and Fabi will be the first year in High School.
Anyway that's all I have time for this time.I promise I will write soon.
Wow a 10 K! I am impressed. That is a major achievement.
